The High Desert Museum

Our Field Trip to the High Desert Museum was a success. The kids really seemed to enjoy themselves and learned new things while visiting the museum.

We started off by exploring their Science area. What a fun little place to have hands on science fun.

We had the opportunity to see the Native Americans exhibit and we were all fascinated with the bobcat and Lynx. The fish tanks and other small reptile displays were also a huge hit.

Finally the kids had fun playing pretend and climbing in the play area.

A special Thank you to Heidi, Ryan, and Sandra for coming to help us on our field trip.

We are Thankful

We are thankful for wonderful parents who come in to help us at Preschool. We are thankful for yummy food. We are thankful for great friends.

We had a great Thanksgiving Feast. The food was amazing and the kids really enjoyed eating to their hearts content (or maybe it was their stomachs'). Thank you to everyone who provided food and beverages, and who also came in and helped prepare and serve the kids. I am so Thankful for all of You and your children!

It was a fun morning filled with lots of laughter and amazing food. In the end there was only one thing left to do...Finish off the bottle.

Okay, okay, I think I need to tell you that it was only Sparkling Apple Cider. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Tour de France

Studying France has been so much fun for the kids. They have been learning the colors in French, they have done some French-like art work. But I think that the most favorite part of studying France so far has been our "Tour de France". The kids came into school with such flare and excitement about having brought their bikes to school. The craziness and excitement just climbed from there.

We first had Officer Steve come to our classroom to talk about bike safety. The kids thought it was really cool to have a "Real" Policeman at school.

Next it was time to hand out their yellow shirts. In the real Tour de France, the winner at the end of each stage gets to wear the yellow jersey. So after hearing about all of this fun Tour de France stuff, I decided that each of the kids just had to be winners and for all to see by wearing a yellow jersey.
If I do say so myself, I think they turned out adorable.

The kids were excited and ready to strut their stuff out on the race track.

And they were off!It was a little crazy at first, but then they got it under control and had a ball riding their bikes and collect their colored charms to add to their French key rings.

What a fun day to be at school. Now this is my kind of learning. I was so proud of all my little bike riders.

Pumpkin Patch

Okay, so I have been waiting for a few people (ahem...) to send over some pictures from the Pumpkin Patch. Everyone must be busy. So these are the photos I got. I will try and hunt down the others and will post them at a later time.

Anyways, we had the best time at the Pumpkin Patch this year. The kids seemed excited to be there and the weather couldn't have been any better. There were so many fun and exciting things, and there was nothing but smiles on the kids' faces the entire time.

I love the look on E's face. Too adorable. Her look is exactly how the other kids were feeling during our little zoo train ride.

Next it was on to the petting zoo.

Into the corn maze. We trusted Heather to get us back out safely. She did! However, I think that we went on a few "non" path ways. Oh well. We made it out alive!

Finally out into the pumpkin patch to find that perfect pumpkin.

The hay ride back. I think a few of the kids were getting a little bit sleepy.

We had so much fun. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come and help out. It always nice to have parent volunteers.
