The Zoo Train seemed to be the big hit of the day. The kids had a blast riding around the patch in a zoo animal of their choice. Parents had a fun time as well.

After our adventure on the Zoo Train we headed over for a little story time. I thought that this was a great addition to the field trip (this was the first year that they have done this). The kids did great sitting on the hay bales and listening to the storyteller read, "It's Pumpkin Time".

Finally it was time to go and find that perfect pumpkin. Unfortunately there were quite a few rotting pumpkins. But the adults tried to steer the kids away from the bad ones. I think all of the kids got great little pumpkins.

Next it was off to the Corn Maize. Thanks to our Dad on the field trip we made it through the maize and only had to cut through the corn (not on the path) once. But at least we made it back and no one got lost.
In the middle of the maize there was a lookout bridge and a very fun slide. The kids each took turns sliding down the big slide.

After a fun filed day we sat on the grassy field and ate our sack lunches. The sun was warm and it was a great end to a perfect day! Thank you everyone for making our first field trip a huge success!
