Once again at the end of the month we ended our theme with baking the pie of the month. This month was Pumpkin Pie! Before we began our baking experience we made chef hats (which turned out adorable).
Next we began making the filling for the pie. Lots of measuring and stirring took place. 
Finally all of the ingredients were in place and stirred to a perfect consistency.
We then placed the filling into the pie crust. This month I decided to buy the crust for the big class pie and only make homemade crust for the mini pies that went home. Making homemade crusts for all the pies was just too overwhelming last month (sigh!!!)
After was all said and done, the pies turned out beautifully. Unfortunately due to time constraints, we didn't get to sample our class pie before it was time to head home. But I know that the mini pies were just as delicious as the big pie. Once again, it was a lot of work baking pies with 4 three year olds. But we had so much fun, and the kids really seem to enjoy pie making day.
