Preschool is TOO much Fun!

It's always so funny to me how much preschoolers love our "OLD" headphone system.  I have a huge collection of books on tape )Yes you heard me right on TAPES).  They love to stick on those big ole headphones and try to figure out how these things called cassette tapes work.

A Color of His Own

We had so much fun with the book "A Color of His own" by Leo Lionni.

Each of the kids had their own Chameleons to go around the classroom to see how they can truly change colors wherever they go.  Such a cute book, and what a fun activity it was for our little students.  They then got to paint their own chameleons.  It was great!

Our Pre-K students had a great time with this same activity as well.

This will definitely be a project that I will continue to use in my classroom each year. 

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

After Reading "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin Jr., John Archambault and Lois Ehlert we went to work to create our OWN Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees.

I love how different each one turned out.

 We have these beauties hung on our preschool bulletin boards.  I LOVE them!

Pre-Kindergarteners Ready to Go!

We started our 2012-2013 Pre-K year off with a bang!  We have a group of 8 sweet little 4 and 5 year olds joining us this year.  I can't wait to see them grow physically and academically this year.

 We had a lot of fun reading "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and then creating our own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom coconut trees.  I was so impressed with how well these kids dove in and did such an amazing job on their trees.

 It's going to be an amazing school year.  Each of these children have so much to give.  I know that I will learn lots from them and that we are going to have so much fun together.  Now let's get ready to Learn!
