Under the Sea

We had a fun month of January learning about all different kinds of creatures that live under the sea.  We explored jelly fish, sea turtles, rainbow fish, sharks, crabs, sea horses and much more amazing sea life.
We also had the opportunity to make our own colored glass bottles.  The kids loved this project and really enjoyed deciding what type of pattern they wanted to make with their colored sand.
What a fun month of preschool!

Decorating Gingerbread Houses

It's just not Christmas Time at Shining Stars Preschool unless you get the chance to decorate a Gingerbread House.  The kids really enjoyed this very messy, very creative art project.  Plus a bonus that candy and frosting is involved.  Take a peek and see each of their masterful creations that they made.
Final Gingerbread Masterpieces!

Halloween 2011

I just LOVE Halloween!  Especially on our Halloween party day at preschool.  I love to see all the kids dressed in their costumes, and their excited personalities come shining through.  We had a ton of fun at our Halloween party.  And each of the kids were so cute!
Above is our Class all decked out for our Party!
Adorable Snow White!
SWAT Team Member!
A Knight in Shining Armor (minus the helmet).
 Pretty Princess!
 Beautiful Butterfly!
And Miss Jessie from Toy Story!
Miss Liz made us a fun Halloween cake and cupcakes to enjoy during our party.  It turned out fabulous!  Thanks Liz!  You are so talented!
After we ate cake, we moved right onto more sugar frenzie.  We decorated sugar cookies (which they took home).
 And we decorated Trick-or-Treating buckets.
Next it was over to the neighbors for a little Trick-or-Treating practice!  They loved this part of the party.
All-in-all...It was a great day.  I felt bad sending these littles ones home all sugared up and hyper.  But that's what school parties are all about!
Happy Halloween!
